"The original book itself is a pioneer of all martial arts books. It has been a great wish for me to get a translation of this book since I unfortunately don't read the Chinese language. The combination of the old beautiful drawings of the great master Lam Tsai Wing, the direct translation and the comments of the translators makes it a rich and very detailed book for students who know and practice the traditional set Gung Gee Fook Fu Kuen. I really like the medium, an electronical book, because of its many advantages. For example; a quick delivery, easily made backups and flexibility. You can have it on a disc or in print, whatever you prefer." |

"Congratulation. For my opinion the translation is very good. The small comments together with the translation helps to understand the book better. So the book is a very good help not only for beginners but for advanced hung gar practicers too. The costs are o.k., because I know that to translate this book needs hard work and much time. I only have to critize that the chinese terms are only in mandarin dialekt not in cantonese. As you know Hung Gar is a southern style and all the sounds and names of the techniques are mostly in cantonese dialekt and the dialekt of Lam Sai Wing is cantonese too. So for the Hung Gar practicer it would be better if the chinese terms are in mandarin and cantonese together. I know this is very difficult." |
